Scoill Phurt le Moirrey School Vision

Scoill Phurt Le Moirrey promotes a Culture of Care and Respect, where all stakeholders support children in being challenged and immersed in their learning journeys. Children are valued as individuals, each with their own experiences, voice, strengths and personal challenges.

We believe that:

  • Reading is a starting point for learning. It is celebrated and encouraged both at home and school. Learning is a partnership where parents and teachers work together to support and engage children.
  • Learning environments provide opportunities for individuality and capture moments of awe and wonder. High expectations for behaviour, attitudes towards learning and our core values are embedded in our school ethos and are supported at home.
  • Physical and emotional well being is important for positive mental health, with every child supported to be their best.
  • Children are encouraged to flourish in society, now and in the future.

The Little Lost Dragon is a story of love, hope and courage. It was written on World Book Day 2022, with every child in school making a contribution as each class wrote a part of the story.

The book is dedicated to the children of Ukraine with all money raised going to the people of Ukraine.

Copies of the book are available to purchase from school at only £5 per copy - get yours while you can!
